A: It is theologically stated.
Salvation history part one has shown us the fact that the
chosen people had lived along with the promised land. Even
their contemporary history signals this point: we belong to
the land; the land belongs to us! One reference wisely goes:
You shall no more be termed Forgotten, Azubah, and your land
shall no more be termed Desolate, Shamamah, but you shall be
called My Delight Is in Her, Hephzibah, and your land
Married, Beulah, for the Lord delights in you, and your land
shall be married. Is. 62:4 [The Bible speaks today]
B: It is practically stated.
Our people seemed not belong to our land; appeared to
be strangers, as that of one hundred year old observations:
No Man’s Island; The Forgotten Land; A Chin Drinks to get
drunk! As a matter of fact, that outward appearance has
already passed, because of its inward reality. See, one of
our life principles has revived: the earth our mother!
Imagine, someone is pretty sure [aware] of heavenly matters,
but not certain [ignore] of earthly ones. That someone
unfortunately embodied to certain modern Chin people. The
truth comes: one who does not will to endorse this earth
will never enter that heaven also; cf. Matt. 7:21
C: Hence, Post-Eden Drive.
Post-Eden is no longer that Eden of Adam and Eve, Eden
returned; Post-Eden is not merely New-Eden, Eden
reconstructed. Rather, Post-Eden points to the morrows which
have already started today. Well, we have chosen the word
drive to mean:
1. in or of vehicle, a journey in vehicle, go for a drive;
the equipment in a vehicle that takes power from the engine
to the wheels, the drive shaft;
2. effect, for something, to do something; an organized
effort by a group of people to achieve something, economy
drive, a strong desire to do things and achieve something;
3. computing, the part of a computer that reads and stores
information on disks or tapes, a 40 GB drive, a CD drive.
In its shortened form, PED, serves the root word for:
pedagogic, concerning teaching methods; pedagogy, the study
of teaching methods. [to beware of pedagogue, a person who
likes to teach people things, especially because they think
they know more than other people]
D: Mission
PED has given birth its initial phase at Lailun via Lailun
Integrated Development Centre, LIDC, for demonstration of
the threefold sin and threefold salvation, for implementing
the SALTs I, II, III for FAITH; built upon the twine theme
of human and environment, redemption and creation of the
God-given people. LIDC covers four areas: agricultural
research program; livestock breeding research program;
ecological research program; networking program.
PED still has more initial phases like: Tribal Research
Centre, TRC, for cultivating and promoting our personal
identity and cultural integrity; to de-envelope the hidden
treasure of ours; Community Learning Centre, CLC, for
promoting of intellectual capability that the global
materials may somehow interact with the local contexts;
Credit Cooperative, CC, with target towards cooperation for
service, i.e., to live with the community rather than in
[parasite] the community; IPStar Broadband Satellite System,
to act locally and to think globally, i.e., glocalization.
This awareness level may apply to our basic communities:
1. The Zawngnak Declaration of the [threefold’s] may serve
our church liturgy in Sunday worship service, [and our local
meetings’ introductory lines].
2. A Christian minister who feels called for specializing
development work in consultation with the One Hundred Year
Plan may be endorsed by the body concerned.
3. Our spectacular landscape should be kept for public
attraction, by nearby community in our God-given land.
4. Being engaged with Asset based community development, all
the NGO’s should offer an interrelated service.
E: Goal
1. That various Chins may promote teamwork for the buildup of authentic
humanity.
2. That ups and downs of the land may become that of abundance.
3. That of glocalization.
