News Letter 16/1
June 2010

Principal’s Paragraph

We live and work in a changing world. As the world is changing around us, new ideas and approaches emerge. New problems arise and new solutions are sought. In that situation, we recognize that learning is a lifelong journey with no end in sight and that no one can ever have all the answers. However we are confident that learning allows us to stay ahead of the game. Thus we are conscious of the need and importance of both what we learn and how we approach it. The Scripture teaches us about this (Numbers 13:25-14:12). The twelve leaders of the people of Israelites were chosen by Moses and were commissioned to spy the promise land. The duration of their observation, the people they spied, the land they scrutinized were the same. Unfortunately but intentionally, the reports were absolutely different. The eye of faith, with God’s promise for the land of honey and milk, sees the land as the land of milk and honey (Ex 3:17). But some spies’ report was discouraging. What the spies examined was the same land and people but how they did it was different and the message (knowledge about the land) they brought to the people were diverse. This is what Paul says “For we walk by faith not by sight” (2Cor 5:7). We are also commissioned by the Lord today to scrutinize and examine the land he is giving us. What will be our message to our people? What we know and see is not enough. How we do it is indispensably important. The one who walks by faith sees the land of honey and milk God promised!
